New wildfire burning in Catron County

CATRON COUNTY (KRQE) - A new wildfire is burning in Catron County on the north side of Luera Peak.

The fire began Thursday night. No structures are threatened and it is unknown how large the fire is at this time. This fire was caused by lightning.

The fire is visible from Highway 12 and Highway 60 in Catron County.
