DURANGO, Colo. (KRQE) - Fire crews are having trouble making progress on two wildfires that are burning near Durango in southwestern Colorado.
Firefighters say the Vallecito Fire northeast of Durango remains only 25 percent contained.
Crews say they are working to build the fire lines and conducting mop-up operations.
It's holding steady at 222 acres
Meanwhile, the Goblin Fire north of Durango has torched about 700 acres.
Firefighters say they are having a hard time fighting that blaze because of the steep terrain.
