ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Four late night brush fires on Monday night in the Albuquerque B osque sparked an investigation by fire officials.
The call came into 911 just after 6 p.m. by a woman on a bike path in the north valley about a possible brush fire in the Bosque. When firefighters arrived it wasn't just one fire, but four separate brush fires.
They were able to put them all out without any injury to firefighters or anyone else.
To get a better idea of where all these fires were, firefighters used the Albuquerque police helicopter to try and locate the fires from the air. Fire crews remained on the scene for a while to monitor hotspots.
The investigation will likely continue sometime later Tuesday morning.
There is wind expected in the forecast for Tuesday, but not as strong as experienced on Monday. However, that could be cause for concern if another fire were to break out in the Bosque as the winds could carry the embers into dry brush.
