Rough weather rumbled across eastern and southeastern New Mexico Monday spawn a tornado, funnel cloud and numerous violent storms.
Shortly before 6 p.m. the National Weather Service issued a tornado warning based on radar indications and a spotter's report for rural parts of eastern Lincoln County and western Chaves County.
KRQE News 13 reporter Ian Schwartz recorded the tornado on the ground about 40 miles west of Roswell and also photographed a funnel cloud.
The tornado warning expired at 6:30 p.m. with no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
At 10 p.m. lines of storms continued to move south and southeast through Vaughn, Roswell and along U.S. Highway 82 in the Sacramento Mountains.
