ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A hard freeze is forecast early Tuesday morning for north-central New Mexico with sub-freezing temperatures covering much of the rest of the state.
The hard freeze with several hours at or below 28 degrees Fahrenheit is expected to hit the Santa Fe metro area and the central highlands from 3 a.m.-9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. The area includes the communities of La Bajada, Lamy, Clines Corners, Encino and Cedarvale.
Freezing temperatures also are expected during those hours in
the Albuquerque metro area, the lower Rio Grande valley, the
south-central highlands to include Belen, Socorro and Bingham.
Residents of much of southern New Mexico from Silver City and
Lordsburg to Truth or Consequences, Alamogordo and Las Cruces may
also wake up to frost on Tuesday.
