ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Heaters across New Mexico were cranked up and many furnaces have not been able to keep up.
Albuquerque service technician Joel Felton said he was swamped all day on Wednesday fixing furnaces after many gave out in subzero temperatures.
Felton advised people to set their thermostats around 68 degrees, so they will not burn out.
He also recommended residents clean out their filters and check those units frequently.
