ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque saw its fair share of snow from the latest storm Monday.
Temperatures in the city were warm enough to makeĀ it difficult for the snow to stick but city officials are warning drivers to look out for black ice into Monday evening and Tuesday morning.
Salt trucks will be working on the roads overnight to battle any ice.
In the higher elevations, like the Foothills, two inches of snow had already fallen by Monday evening.
In Nob Hill, snow had been coming down for the majority of the day and a couple hundred yards away at UNM, the precipitation was mostly rain; about one-third of an inch was recorded.
The city is worried that once the temperatures begin to drop overnight, the moisture on the roads will freeze.
The city plans to deploy 22 trucks to work on keeping the roads clear by spreading salt and cinder and eliminating that moisture on the roads before the morning commute.
The city says it has fully restocked its salt and cinder supplies it used during the last storm that hit the city last week.
If you spot any slick roads around town, the City of Albuquerque wants you to call its 311 hotline to let them know.
