People are OK after shocking crash

TOME HILL, N.M. (KRQE) - When you see the video, you'll ask: How did anyone survive? There were no serious injuries from a head-on collision Wednesday morning near Tome Hill in Valencia County.

A boy, driving to class at Los Lunas High School, told police he was speeding and lost control on a curve when he ran into the other car. His Honda Civic was cut in half.

The first officer on the scene was looking for a body when the boy who was walking around told him he was the one driving.

A father and daughter on their way to Valencia High School were in the other car and suffered minor injuries. All three were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
