ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Emergency crews have reopened University Boulevard at westbound I-40 due after a semi-truck fire shut it down for several hours.
Around 9 o’clock Thursday morning, Albuquerque firefighters worked quickly to contain the semi-truck fire on the I-40 westbound University off ramp.
Officials say firefighters were able to stop the fire within 10 minutes, preventing the fire from spreading the truck’s trailer.
The driver of the semi was uninjured.
Officials towed the semi and the off ramp in now back open.
