TULAROSA, N.M. (KRQE) - It's hard to believe in the year 2012 a busy New Mexico community has made it this long without a stop light.
But that's now changed for the 159-year-old village.
Tularosa's first stop light went into operation this week.
The light is posted at St. Francis Drive, also known as U.S. Highway 70, and Higuera Avenue.
Police said they're patrolling the area extra closely and want to remind drivers to stop at that intersection.
