RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - A traffic alert has been issued for Rio Rancho residents.
Construction on a major roadway is set to start this week.
Work will consist of widening Iris road between Idalia and Paseo Del Volcan.
The more than $228,000 project is funded by a 2009 voter-approved general obligation bond and should be done by August.
