RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - A motorcycle rider was badly hurt in a crash at Rio Rancho Thursday afternoon.
Police have not released his name or medical condition.
They say he was going south on State Route 528 near Northern Boulevard when an SUV apparently pulled out in front of him about 1 p.m.
The biker's injuries were so severe that he was airlifted to UNM Hospital.
The SUV driver was not hurt.
NM 528, also called Rio Rancho Boulevard, was shut down for nearly two hours.
Police are still investigating.
