Hurricane responders hurt in rollover

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) - Nine wildland firefighters from New Mexico who were helping in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy were injured when their truck rolled over Monday.
Two of them remain hospitalized.
The crash happened on State Route 68 about five miles south of Taos while the crew from the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service was on it's way home from the East Coast.
BLM officials say there were nine people in the oversized vehicle when it rolled.
All are trained wildland firefighters who were dispatched to New Jersey as a saw crew helping get rid of fallen trees and other debris.
BLM officials say the two still in the hospital--one each from BLM and USFS--were seriously injured but their injuries are not life-threatening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
