Fatal rollover shuts I25 overnight

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - I25 southbound just south of Sunport Blvd was shut down overnight because of a fatal rollover.

The accident occurred around midnight when a pickup truck rear-ended another truck.

The female driver who was hit from behind was killed and a passenger in that truck was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver who rear-ended the vehicle was not seriously hurt.

Albuquerque police are investigating if alcohol was involved.
