Volcano Vista Wins 2nd Straight Title

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - The Volcano Vista Lady Hawks (29-1) win back-to-back state softball titles beating Carlsbad in two games for the 5-A title. Carlsbad snapped the Hawks 52-game win streak friday morning sending VV to the loser's bracket. However VV makes it back to the title game and winning the state championship with a game one 6-1 win, followed by a 5-3 win in game 2 against Carlsbad. Volcano Vista beat Carlsbad for the 2011 state championship as well.
