Albuquerque (KRQE) - The last quarterback to play a full season at New Mexico is Donovan Porterie. He accomplished that feat during the 2009 season. From 2009 to 2011 there have been 9 scholarship quarterbacks. Eight of those quarterbacks never finished their eligibility. One never reported showed up. This season it has been the injury bug bitting quarterbacks B.R. Holbrook and Cole Gautsche. Gautsche is ready to go against UNLV saturday. But, runningback Kasey Carrier and receiver Lamaar Thomas could get more direct snaps at qb to help add a little depth to the position when the 4 and 4 Lobos face the 1 and 8 Rebels saturday.
