LAS VEGAS (NV) - The Lobos hit a barrage of three point shots while warming up. Roman Martinez takes that into the game starting with back to back three point buckets. The Lobos start the game on a six to nothing run but, it all goes away when Todd Fletcher nails a three point shot to make it 13 to 12 Air Force.
The Lobos start to look a little sluggish but, A.J. Hardeman energizes his team in the crowd with a block. Dairese Gary is on the other end with a quick bucket and the Lobos are up 16 to 13.
The Lobos go on a 14 to 5 run to build a ten point lead. That lead has now been cut to six points at 34 to 28.
The Lobos are forcing Air Force to play their type of game of getting up and down the court.
Air Force coach Jeff Reynolds said he wanted to keep the entire game in the 50's. The Lobos have the Falcons exactly where they want them. It's 38 to 31 at halftime.
