Albuquerque (KRQE) - University of New Mexico guard Tony Snell scored 25 points to help the 11/12 ranked Lobos beat the Nevada Wolfpack 75 to 62 Wednesday night. The Wolfpack was led in scoring by Malik Story who finished his senior night with 25 points. Story kept his team in the game until the Lobos pulled away in the second half. The power of the Lobo big men was a factor in the game. Alex Kirk and Cameron Bairstow dropped a double double performance on the pack. Bairstow has 15 points and 10 rebounds while Kirk delivered 11 points and 10 boards. The Lobos clinched the Mountain West regular season title over the weekend and kept enough focus to dispose of the Wolfpack.With the win, they improve to 26 and 4 overall and 13 and 2 in Mountain West play. The Lobos will play at Air Force Saturday in their final game of the regular season.
