Albuquerque (KRQE) - The Albuquerque Isotopes are in control of their own destiny. The Isotopes are sitting on top of the Pacific Coast League American South division with a four game lead over the New Orleans Zephyrs with 13 games to play. The Isotopes beat the Zephyrs 6 to 4 Tuesday night to up their lead to four games and claim the tiebreaker should the teams end up even when the regular season is over. Isotopes slugger Jerry Sands failed to extend his hitting streak to 22 games after going 0 for 4 in the game.
