Title matchups form at prep hoop tourney

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Semifinal games Thursday set up title battles in the girls brackets at the state high school basketball tournament.

Thursday's girls games highlights:

• Clovis 62, La Cueva 52.  (Clovis plays Mayfield Saturday 4 p.m. for Class 5A title).
• Los Lunas 50, St. Pius X 35.  (Los Lunas plays Roswell for Class 4A title at 7:30 p.m. Friday.)
• Roswell 57, Santa Fe 47.  (Roswell and Los Lunas play for 4A title at 7:30 p.m. Friday.)
• Lovington 38, Santa Fe Indian School 33.  (Lovington and Hope Christian play for the 3A title at 1:30 p.m. Friday.)
• Laguna-Acoma 65, Clayton 32.  (Laguna-Acoma makes first title appearance in school history at 5:30 p.m. Friday versus Navajo Pine for the 2A title.)

All title games are being held at University of New Mexico Arena, also known as The Pit.
