Los Lunas runs away with girls 4A title

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Championship weekend in the state high school basketball tournament began Friday with the Los Lunas, Lovington and Navajo Pine girls all heading home with title trophies.
Top-seeded Los Lunas won its first girls basketball championship since 1980 defeating Roswell 51-27 in class 4A.
Other highlights:
- Girls Class 3A Finals -- Lovington 58, Hope Christian 51.
- Girls Class 2A Finals -- Navajo Pine 64, Laguna-Acoma 57.
- Boys Class 3A Semifinals -- Hope Christian 67, Shiprock 49.
(Hope Christian defeated St. Michael's 42-29 in the 3A title game on Saturday)
