HOBBS, N.M. (AP) - For Peyton Manning, it's all about decision making — from his decision to finish his senior year at Tennessee to the hundreds of split-second decisions he makes on the field as an NFL quarterback.

Manning visited Hobbs this week to talk with more than 500 students during a lecture at the University of the Southwest.

One of his most important decisions came this past season, when he was faced with where to set up life after a 14-year career with Indianapolis.

Now a Denver Bronco, Manning told the students that decision making is one of the defining characteristics of leadership. He said the way one makes decisions can become the backbone of a person's success.

The students also asked Manning about who hits the hardest in the NFL. His answer: New Mexico native and Chicago linebacker Brian Urlacher and Baltimore's Ray Lewis.
