Thunderbirds lay off most of staff

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Only one employee remains at the Albuquerque Thunderbirds, but the team owner said the NBA Development League team should be back in business next season.

Team owner Sam Bregman says he is looking for a fresh start and is just restructuring the team.

Bregman told KRQE News 13 the firing has nothing to with cash flow but with making the franchise successful.

The Thunderbirds completed their forth season last week at Tingley Coliseum.
