ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The state Department of Game and Fish on Thursday plans to stock fishing ponds at Albuquerque's Tingley Beach with rainbow trout.
About 400 of the fish, ranging in length from 10 to 16 inches, are to be stocked in the central take-home fishing pond at the park between the Rio Grande Zoo and the Albuquerque Aquarium near downtown Albuquerque.
Officials also plan to put about 1,000 trout in the beach's south catch-and-release pond.
Anglers aged 12 and older must have a state fishing license to fish at the ponds.
