ALBUQUERQUE KRQE - Albuquerque Isotopes manager Tim Wallach has been named the Pacific Coast League manager of the year.

In his debut season Wallach led the Isotopes to the American South division title and first playoff berth since 2003.

The Isotopes spent a franchise record 73 days alone on top of the PCL American South division.

Wallach was able to lead the team to success despite 150 separate roster moves since the season began. The Isotopes manager was also instrumental in grooming players to help the LA Dodgers reach the best record in the National League.

Twenty-one different players spent time in Albuquerque and Los Angeles this season.

Wallach is a veteran of 17 major league seasons as a player, was a five-time National League All-Star, a three-time Gold Glove Winner and twice won the Silver Slugger award.
