ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota scored three goals in the second period last night as the Wild rallied to a 3-2 win over the Detroit Red Wings. Dany Heatley, Jason Zucker and Torrey Mitchell netted the Wild's goals. Damien Brunner and Pavel Datsyuk scored for the Red Wings.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Trey Burke scored a season-high 29 points yesterday as No. 4 Michigan topped Penn State 79-71. Freshman Glen Robinson III matched a career high with 21 points for the Wolverines, who had dropped three of their previous four games. Jermaine Marshall and Sasa Borovnjak had 17 points apiece for the Nittany Lions.

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Detroit Tigers outfielder Brennan Boesch is expected to miss a day or two of spring training after tweaking an oblique muscle in his right side. Boesch says he hurt himself while swinging Saturday. Boesch is competing for time in left field for the defending American League champs.

MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) — Ryan Anderson has won the U.P. 200 sled dog race in Michigan's Upper Peninsula for the fourth straight time. Anderson and his dogs crossed the finish line yesterday, followed by Keith Aili and Ryan Redington. The 240-mile race started Friday in Marquette.
