NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Chicago Bulls are down south tonight to face the New Orleans Hornets. The Bulls have lost four of their last five games, while the Hornets tonight will be trying for their fifth win in six games.

CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks will try to tie the record for starting the season with the most games without a regulation loss. A win tonight over the Vancouver Canucks would pull the 'Hawks even with the 2006-2007 Anaheim Ducks, who went 16 games without losing in regulation.

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The St. Louis Blues play host to the San Jose Sharks tonight at the Scottrade Center. The teams haven't faced each other since the 2012 Western Conference Quarterfinals. The Blues won that series in five games.

MESA, Ariz. (AP) — A muscle injury is expected to leave Chicago Cubs starter Matt Garza on the sidelines for a week. Garza hurt his side while throwing live batting practice for the first time since last July. An MRI revealed a "mild strain" in his side, and general manager Jed Hoyer says Garza must be pain free before he does any more throwing.
