Albuquerque (KRQE) - The New Mexico Stars Indoor Football team has released four players who allegedly participated in an altercation after a road game in Wyoming.

A pair of former Lobos are among the suspended players.

Former Baltimore Ravens and Lobos receiver Marcus Smith and former Lobo linebacker Tray Hardaway were sent packing by the Stars along with Darius Marshall and offensive lineman Eric Martinear. The players allegedly assaulted a Wyoming Cavalry player after a game April 20th.

Stars majority owner and general manager Jerry Dunn released a statement saying, "we are a community first franchise that represents the state of New Mexico and this type of behavior is inexcusable and will not be tolerated."

KRQE first reported the alleged altercation last Saturday.
