Albuquerque (KRQE) - Steve Alford talked about mental toughness all week. It appears that his players got the message. The Lobos crushed the Air Force Falcons 81 to 42 Tuesday night in Colorado Springs. The Lobos bench had the same amount of points as the entire Air Force team. As a team, the Lobos shot nearly 60 percent for the game at 59.3 percent while holding Air Force to a miserable 29.4 percent shooting. Four Lobos scored in double figures led by Drew Gordon and Kendall Williams with 13 points each. Gordon also had 8 rebounds. Phillip McDonald had 11 points. So did Demetrius Walker. The Lobos 39 point victory is the worst loss Air Force has suffered in Clune Arena. The Lobos are now 18 and 4 overall and 4 and 2 in the Mountain West. They are at Boise State saturday.
