Gibson withdraws from NBA draft

LAS CRUCES (KRQE) - New Mexico State Guard Jonathan Gibson won't leave the Aggies for NBA yet.

Gibson withdrew his name from the NBA draft, deciding to return to NMSU for his senior season.

The guard said he wanted to be more consistent with shooting and demonstrate more leadership before he heads to the pros.

Last year, Gibson averaged 14 points per game.

Aggie Coach Marvin Menzies called the return a big plus.
