Albuquerque (KRQE) - Steve Alford said he wanted to try different combinations in an exhibition game against NAIA power Davenport Tuesday night. They all worked as the Lobos hammered the Panthers 92 to 54. Five Lobos scored in double figures on a night when the team also had 14 steals and 50 rebounds. Kendall Williams and Tony Snell had 16 points each. Williams was a perfect ten of ten from the free throw line. Snell started the game with a steal and back to back dunks. Mountain West Preseason Player of the Year Drew Gordon started like he finished last season with a double double. Gordon scored ten points while pulling down 12 rebounds. The Lobos will host Western New Mexico in their final exhibition game Saturday.
