LAS VEGAS, Nevada (KRQE) - The New Mexico Lobos couldn't keep up with a surging Utah Utes team in overtime and are now headed home.
Despite the Lobos strong effort, they lost Wednesday night's matchup 51-45 in overtime.
Eileen Weissmann scored 15 points in a losing effort. Tuesday's hero Sarah Halasz chipped in 14.
The Utes were led by the hot hand of Taryn Wicijowski who scored 22 points.
The Lobo women's basketball team once dominated the Mountain West Tournament, winning five of six championships at one point. But for the second year in a row, they are going home early.
