Albuquerque (KRQE) - Yvonne Sanchez opened her press conference by saying,"whew". It was the sigh of relief after the University of New Mexico recorded their first Mountain West victory for the first year head coach, 67 to 44 over Air Force. The Lobos had three players in double figures with only one player who did not score at all. Jayme Jackson and Porche Torrance led the Lobos in scoring with 13 points each. For Jackson it was her best game as a Lobo. Caroline Durbin, the team's leading scorer, had 11 points in the win. The Lobos are now 17 and 4 overall and 1 and 6 in the Mountain West. They will host Boise State at the Pit saturday.
