Lobo Men basketball & MW poll

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Mountain West preseason men's basketball poll is out. Just like the national poll the Lobos are behind San Diego State and UNLV.

The Aztecs, who shared a regular season title with the Lobos last year, picked up ten first place votes. UNLV had 8 while the Lobos did not grab any first place votes, but this is not a team that really needed the media poll to get motivated.

They did get a spot on the All Conference team with guard Kendall Williams getting the honor. Williams is the Lobos returning leading scorer who averaged 12 points per game on a team that not only won a share of the regular season title but are also the defending Mountain West tournament champs. The Lobo’s first exhibition game is October 31st.
