Albuquerque (KRQE) - Lobos senior tight end Lucas Reed didn't have many balls thrown his way during the 2012 season. Reed did do a lot of blocking on a Lobos team that relied heavily on the run. He had 72 catches and gained All American status the previous two seasons. That may have helped him get an invite to college football's East West Shrine game. Reed hopes to use the experience as a stepping stone to the NFL. He is back in the weight room working on his strength and size in hopes of having a good showing at the Shrine game in January.
