ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - The Lobos football team wasted no time for their first victory in the Bob Davie era, as New Mexico blows out Southern 66-21. New Mexico jumped out to an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a Jhurell Presley 5 yard TD run, but it's the 2nd quarter of play that really enabled the Lobos to pull away. New Mexico rattled off 38 points in the second frame en route to a 66-21 win. Up next for the Lobos is a date in Austin, TX against Texas on September 8th.
