Albuquerque (KRQE) - So much for the Rio Grande rivalry. Yvonne Sanchez's Lobos made the so called rivalry with New Mexico State a front seat to two blowouts. The Lobos completed a sweep of the Aggies with a 68 to 44 victory in Las Cruces Tuesday night. The 24 point blowout was one point more than the first meeting held at The Pit in Albuquerque in November. Lobos senior guard Caroline Durbin lead the cherry and silver in scoring with 18 points. The Lobos beat the Aggies on the boards by a 42 to 27 advantage. In the last 30 meetings against the Aggies, the Lobos have won 29. With the victory the Lobos improved to 8 and 3 on the season. The Aggies dropped to 5 and 4. The Lobos are at UTEP Thursday.
