Albuquerque (KRQE) - It was the kind of defensive effort that may have saved Yvonne Sanchez's Lobo women's basketball team in a loss at Houston last week. The Lobos rebounded from defeat with a 52 to 43 victory over Cal State Fullerton at The Pit Tuesday night. Defensively the Lobos held Fullerton to a dismal 26.9 percent shooting. Senior guard Sara Halasz led the Lobos in scoring with 9 points. Freshman point guard sensation, Bryce Owens, scored 8 points along with 4 assists and 6 steals. The 7 and 2 Lobos will get a shot at Arizona next. The Lady Wildcats come to the pit Saturday.
