BOULDER, CO (KRQE) - The Lobo Women's basketball team falls to 8-5 on the season after a 84-35 drubbing by 23)Colorado. The Lobos fell behind early, and could never recover as Colorado shot %50.8 from the field in the game while New Mexico shot %30.2. In the second half, the Lobos shot just %26.7 from the field, while finishing the game 2-9 from three point range. The leading scorer for the Lobos was Antiesha Brown with 10 points, however New Mexico turned the ball over 23 times. Hard to win any game turning the ball over that much, while the Buffs also had 18 steals. The Lobos open up MWC play on the road at UNLV on January 9th.
