Albuquerque (KRQE) - University of New Mexico junior safety Dante Caro is the one that got away from Las Cruces and the New Mexico State Aggies. Caro starrred at quarterback in the Aggies back yard, leading Las Cruces High School to a state title in 2009. He picked UNM out of high school, deciding to become a receiver for the Lobos. Since that time Caro has found the other side of the football. He will start at safety when the Lobos and Aggies square off in Las Cruces this weekend. More than likely, he will see a lot of playing time in a Lobos secondary that has been ravished by injury.
