Albuquerque (KRQE) - New Mexico guard Kendall Williams was destined for the Mountain West Player of the Week honor just as soon as he finished scoring 46 points against Colorado State Saturday.He set and tied school and Mountain West records, respectively, with 10 3 pointers. Williams, who came into the game averaging 13.1 points, turned in the third highest scoring performance by a division one player this season. Williams scored 20 points in the first half of the Lobos 91 to 82 victory over the Rams. He added 26 points in the second half. During the final six minutes of the game Williams scored 18 points. That includes 11 straight. The victory gave the Lobos a two game lead in the Mountain West with 4 games to play. The 14th ranked Lobos will host San Diego State Wednesday.
