OKLAHOMA CITY (KRQE) - The Albuquerque Isotopes gave it a go, but couldn't manage a second straight late-inning comeback Friday night.
The Oklahoma City RedHawks earned the 4-3 win by scoring a run in the bottom of the ninth off a wild pitch.
For the second night in a row, the 'Topes found themselves trailing late in the game. Down 3-1 in the eighth, Albuquerque rallied to a tie on a John Lindsey double.
The 'Topes, however, couldn't stop a red-hot Esteban German from crossing the plate to win it in the ninth.
Who's Hot:
RedHawk Esteban German was 3-3 in the game, walked twice and scored the game-winning run. German has put together a stellar opening season at the plate so far, batting .625.
Who's Not:
Isotopes lefty Brent Leach who gave up three runs in the seventh inning, costing Albuquerque their slim lead in the ballgame.
