Albuquerque (KRQE) - University of New Mexico point guard Hugh Greenwood will have to wait another time to represent his country Australia in the Olympics. Greenwood survived the first cut of the Australian Boomers when the roster was cut to 18. He was not so fortunate the second time around, getting cut for the final roster of 12. Greenwood was hoping to make the team after a successful freshman season as a Lobo. Greenwood cracked the starting line up as a freshman. He and his team won a conference title and made a trip to the NCAA Tournament. The Australian Boomers will still have a little connection to Lobo basketball. Former Chicago Bulls and Lobos center Luc Longley is a coach specialist with the Boomers.
