PROVO, Utah (AP) — Second-ranked Gonzaga (gahn-ZAG'-uh) can wrap up another West Coast Conference basketball title tonight. The Bulldogs are facing the Cougars of BYU in Provo, Utah, and with a win would clinch the championship. A win would also position the Zags to take over the top spot in next week's AP poll, as this week's No. 1, Indiana, suffered a loss earlier in the week.
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — There is a good matchup in the NBA tonight in Indianapolis. A pair of division leading clubs will square off as Indiana, leader of the Central Division, plays host to the Pacific Division leader L.A. Clippers. Overall there are just three NBA games tonight.
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — The first round of the PGA's Honda Classic is under way in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. It's a strong field that features Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Rory McIlroy.
SINGAPORE (AP) — The opening round of this week's LPGA event is over in Singapore. The leader, at 7-under par, is Spain's Azahara Munoz. Stacy Lewis and Lizette Salas of the U.S. are two of five golfers tied for second at 5-under.
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Dennis Rodman has a new buddy. The former NBA star is in North Korea and after watching an exhibition basketball game with Kim Jong Un (kim jawng oon), Rodman told the North Korea leader, "You have a friend for life."
