Colorado Springs, CO (KRQE) - With great performances, come great accolades and for the Lobos plenty of MWC hardware is distributed. Earlier today, the Mountain West Conference announced that Lobos Head Coach Steve Alford is MW Coach of the Year meanwhile guard Kendall Williams is named the MWC Player of the Year. For Alford, it's his third coach of the year honors in 5 seasons, while Williams picks up P.O.Y honors along with being named first team All-MWC. Center Alex Kirk in named 2nd team All-MWC and is also named to the league's All-Defensive Team. Guard Tony Snell is named 3rd team while Cameron Bairstow and Hugh Greenwood earn honorable mention honors.
