N.M. hotels, dining earn AAA ratings

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - AAA New Mexico has announced 13 hotels and three restaurants in the Land of Enchantment earned the Four Diamond Rating during the past 12 months.

The Four and Five Diamond Ratings are the travel authority’s highest designations for hotels and restaurants, according to AAA.

Four and Five Diamond hotels are refined and stylish with upscale physical attributes.  Restaurants at this rating level offer a distinctive fine dining experience featuring highly creative chefs, complex menus, fresh top-quality ingredients and knowledgeable staff.

New Mexico hotels and restaurants and the first of the consecutive years they received the AAA 4 Diamond ratings are:

Hotels

Albuquerque

  • Hotel Andaluz (2010)
  • Hotel Parq Central (2011)

Bernalillo

  • Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa (2001)

Ojo Caliente

  • Rancho de San Juan Country Inn & Restaurant (2002)

Santa Fe

  • Eldorado Hotel & Spa (1997)
  • Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe (2012)
  • Hilton Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder (2011)
  • La Posada de Santa Fe Resort & Spa (2007)
  • Rosewood Inn of the Anasazi (1997)
  • The Inn & Spa at Loretto (2010)
  • The Inn of The Five Graces (2012)

Taos

  • El Monte Sagrado, Autograph Collection (2007)
  • Inn on La Loma Plaza (2001)

Restaurants

  • Santa Fe
  • Fuego (2004)
  • Geronimo (2004)
  • Terra at Encantado (2009) 

Collectively AAA inspectors visit some 1,200 hotels and restaurants every week.  It is the only rating system that covers the U.S., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean and the only rating system that conducts professional, on-site evaluations using published guidelines weighted by member priorities, according to AAA.
