Amazing Race - Open Casting Calls

SKY CITY CASINO HOTEL - CBS' hit show The Amazing Race is looking for cast members. Come to the casting call at Sky City Casino Hotel & Conference Center on March 21st & 22nd from noon to 3pm. Brought to you by KRQE News 13 and Sky City Casino Hotel.

What: Open Casting Call for The Amazing Race

When: Saturday March 21, 2009 and Sunday March 22, 2009

Time: Noon - 3:00 p.m. (early registration begins at 10:00 a.m.) both days

Where: Sky City Casino Hotel & Conference Center , I-40 At Exit 102, Acoma, NM 87034

Registration Requirements:

1. You and your partner must be 21 years or older to enter.
2. You and your partner must complete separate Amazing Race applications, available for download or on the day of the casting call.

What to bring with you:

1. Your complete Amazing Race application
2. Your Driver's License or photo ID card
3. Your partner

Where can I get an application?
Click here to download an application . It is advised to complete the application prior to your arrival at the casting call location.

I thought the deadline had passed to submit a video. Are you sure it is not too late?
The deadline to submit an individual video is often different than the deadline to participate in an Open Casting Call. If KRQE News 13 is holding an Open Casting Call, rest assured the videos from the Open Call have been pre-arranged to be accepted by the show Producers.

It says in the application I need a passport. Do I have to have a passport to audition?
No, not for the initial open casting.

Can I audition if I am not a U.S. citizen?
No.

Can I audition if I have "Resident" Status, but am not a citizen?
No.

Do I need to bring a photo or head shot with me?
It is recommended but with the cameras at an Open Casting Call, you will not be turned away if you do not have a head shot with you.

Do I need to bring a video?
No, KRQE News 13 will have cameras onsite to video your audition.

How long is the audition?
Up to two minutes per team, but there is no minimum time.

Do I have to audition with the same team mate I would have if I am selected?
Yes, you must audition with the person you would be teamed with on the show. No substitutions.

Can we audition separately?
No, you must audition as a team.

What time should I arrive?
Use your own best judgment. Some people arrive well in advance. Early registration begins at 10:00 a.m.

Will everyone who goes be able to audition?
Everyone will be assigned a number (supplied by KRQE News 13 staff at the casting call) and chosen in groups of ten by lottery.

How soon will I know if I am selected?
