LAS CRUCES (KRQE) - A pregnant Las Cruces mother wanted for child abuse who took her kids from school without permission on Thursday was located Friday in Gallup, according to Las Cruces police.
Angelita Bahe, 27, arrived in Albuquerque by bus on Thursday traveling with her daughters ages 5 and 9.
She is now in custody, and her children are reported to be safe and in good condition. The children are in state custody until they can be reunited with relatives, police said.
On April 19 Bahe took the girls to a Las Cruces hospital saying they had possibly been injured by someone else. Although there were no obvious injuries, police began an investigation while Bahe's sister took temporary legal custody of the children.
The police investigation is not complete, but Bahe has been charged with child abuse for remove the girls from their elementary school without permission.
Bahe is Native American, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 110 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. She is six months pregnant.

Daughter Kireangel, 9, has shoulder-length black hair and was wearing black shirt, Navy blue jacket and blue jeans.
