Germany, U.S. to share WIPP nuke info

CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) - An agreement has been signed in Carlsbad between Germany and the United States to exchange knowledge about disposing of radioactive waste.

A high-ranking energy official from Germany signed the agreement after touring the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant site near Carlsbad.

Sandia National Laboratories and Los Alamos National Laboratory also signed the memorandum.
