ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Officials are investigating a strange case after a woman, who was shot, walked into the emergency room at Lovelace Women's Hospital on Montgomery in Albuquerque.

The incident happened just before 11 o’clock Saturday night.

The woman claimed she'd been shot while standing in front of the nearby Donut Mart.

However, investigating officers discovered a vehicle in the hospital parking lot, with several people and blood inside.

Officials believe the woman was driven to the hospital.

The victim and the others all gave different versions of what happened.

The cops checked out a couple of claims that turned out to be false.

At last word police still didn't know where the shooting happened.

According to APD, the gun shot wound was not “serious in nature” and the woman's condition is said to be stable.
